Founded in 1997, CUSA is one of the largest and most vibrant cultural organizations at UNC. The goals of CUSA are to celebrate Chinese heritage and language, foster relationships amongst students with an interest in Chinese culture, and provide a community space for social events and intellectual activities.

Our events have incorporated various facets of our culture including but not limited to Chinese watercolor, Mahjong, calligraphy, traditional instruments, and of course, various traditional foods and dishes. Our biggest events each academic year are the Mid-Autumn Festival (Fall Semester) and Chinese New Year Banquet (Spring Semester). We also offer a “Sibling Program” which pairs upperclassmen with underclassmen, providing members an opportunity to connect with more people.

Anyone is welcome to join! Membership is free and there is no attendance requirement. To follow along with our activities throughout the year you can:
